You loved Arthur Kirkland ever since you two became best friends when you both were six.
You had a clue that he loved you back, but in case he didn't, you didn't tell him. That friendship was very very VERY important to you. You didn't want to loose it.
"______! ______, guess what?!?" You turned to see Arthur running to you, a smile on his face. You grinned, "What's up, Arthur?" Arthur stopped running when he got to you, and he panted out, "I... I have a girlfriend now! It's... It's Kira! From fourth period!" Your heart felt like it had snapped in half, smashed with a hammer, and run over multiple times by a monster truck. "O-Oh..." "______, is something wrong?" You closed your eyes, sighed, and opened them back up, pasting a fake smile on your face. "N-No, I'm fine." "Alright... you sure?" "Yeah!" Arthur smiled, "Good." Oh God, that smile made your heart melt. And now, that smile belonged to someone else.
Oh yeah, and Kira is a slut. Her top goal is to date every boy she lays eyes on. You didn't like it one bit that Arthur was now dating her. She was only going to stay with him for a little bit, until she found someone she liked better.
"Artie~" you heard a shrill voice call out. Arthur turned around to find himself tackled by Kira.
"Hello darling!" Kira giggled. "Oh, hey ______. Can I talk to you?" Kira asked. "Sure." you answered. Kira roughly grabbed your arm and walk away from Arthur. "Look, I know you like Arthur. But, if I were you, I would stay far away from him. He's my boyfriend, and I don't want a little skank to scam on my guy. Because Arthur and I are deeply in love. So, be a good little bitch and back the fuck off, kay?" You were horrified. "Oh, and if I see you talking to him again, I'll scratch your fucking eyes out. And don't think I won't." "So... I can't see Arthur again?" "Bingo! You're such a smart slut!" Kira said as she patted your head. She grinned and skipped back over to Arthur, leaving you horrified.
Arthur hooked his arm with Kira's, saying to you, "Bye ______!"
'He doesn't know how right he is...' You smiled sadly. "Bye Arthur! I'll miss you!"
He looked back at you, but turned right around and kept walking.
*Five Years Later*
You just got back to your little apartment from work. Life was pretty good, but never saw Arthur after that day when he told you he was dating Kira. Before you went up to your apartment, you checked your mail. You pulled out a beautiful letter with your name in calligraphy on it. You opened it up, and pulled out... "W-What? Is this..."
It was a wedding invitation.
The wedding of Arthur and Kira.
You sighed, crumpled up the letter, and dropped it on the ground. You walked up the stairs sadly. You opened your door to find your friend, Spring, on the couch, eating a scone and drinking tea. "Hey ______. Any mail?" Tears filled your eyes. "Whoa! Are you alright?!" "No!" you sobbed. "I-I got an invite to Arthur's wedding!!" "Awww... hon... I'm sorry." Spring said as she put an arm around you. "It'll be alright. Trust me, it gets better. That's what all our songs are about!"
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, you, Spring, and a few others are in a band.
"I-I know, but... how do you know how I feel?!" Spring looked sad. "Because... I liked this one guy, and he rejected me. Brutally. In front of his friends. I wanted to die. But, I was brave and I got through it alright."
"Thanks. That helps a lot! I CAN do this!"
*One Year Later*
Looking at your shopping list, you walk to the grocery store. "Okay, so I need eggs, aspirin, milk, bread, c-" You ran into someone, making both of you fall to the ground. "O-Oh miss, I'm so sorry! Let me help you up!" You blinked. 'I know that voice...' you thought. You looked up to be face to face with green eyes. "A-Arthur?! Is that you?!" The man blinked. "_-______? Is that really you?!" Arthur's eyes shimmered. "Yeah!!" You jumped up and gave Arthur a hug. Then, you backed off. "S-So... how's your wife? I heard you were pretty happy with her." "O-Oh... she's been doing well... since the divorce. But I'm perfectly fine with it. She was cheating on me. And she said it to my face." You gasped, "Geez." Arthur smiled, "That's when I remembered how you were always there for me, but then you weren't. So, I figured that I'd try to find you. And here we are!" You giggled. "I wasn't there for you anymore because Kira threatened me... because, well... I used to have a crush on you in high school." Arthur chuckled, "No way! I had one on you in high school! I got together with Kira to make you jealous! It was really stupid of me though." "Yeah, it was!" you laughed. "To be honest, I still love you..." Arthur mumbled with a blush on his face. "I... I do too..." you mumbled with a similar blush. Arthur smiled, "Well, then, let's give this a shot, ______." You grinned, "Sounds great Arthur. I love you." "I love you too."
